daily injections of rabbit spinal cord suspensions containing progressively
inactivated rabies virus into 9-year old Joseph Meister, who has been
severely bitten by a rabied dog 2 days before. The immunisation was successful;
Joseph Meister not only got protection against rabies but also withstood
large quantities of virulent virus in the last five doses. Pasteure's
